Houghton, Hancock to Consider City Budgets Tonight

Both the cities of Houghton and Hancock will consider their 2022-2023 budgets and base millage tax rates at meetings tonight.

Houghton will open a public hearing at 5:30 at the City Center.

Hancock’s public hearing will begin at 6:00 at City Hall. 

Barring any last minute surprises, both boards are then expected to adopt the spending plans.

Both proposed budgets are available to be reviewed by members of the public in the respective city clerks’ offices.
