A downstate woman was injured in a car-motorcycle crash this afternoon in Houghton.
The Houghton police department tells us that a 59-year-old Wheeler woman was driving her motorcycle southbound at the intersection of US-41 and M-26 just before 1:30. She crossed from the far-left lane into the center lane, and struck a vehicle driven by a 71-year-old Houghton man.
The motorcycle driver was taken by ambulance to UP Health System-Portage. Her condition is not known.
The identities of the drivers have not been released.
Officers say neither speed nor alcohol appear to have been factors.
