Houghton County Releases Updated November 8th Vote Totals

Updated results from last Tuesday’s election have been released by the Houghton County clerk’s office. The totals now include write-in candidates, some of whom were elected to positions for which not enough candidates filed.

They include…
• Tyler John Kinnunen, who will join George Eakin on the Adams Township School Board.
• Julie Ann Koski and Linda Jean LaJeunesse, who will serve on the Elm River Township School Board.

Some positions remain unfilled, including…
• Copper City Village Clerk and Treasurer, along with two Trustee positions.
• One Laurium Village Trustee for a four-year term.
• Two South Range Village Trustees.
• Two Chassell Township School Board members.
• One Lake Linden-Hubbell School Board member for a partial term.

Anyone interested in filling those terms should contact the appropriate board.
