The upswing in positive COVID-19 tests continues in the Western Upper Peninsula.
The latest report from the Western U.P. Health Department includes 101 newly confirmed positive cases since the previous update was posted late Monday. 49 more probable cases were also noted. 77 of the confirmed cases are in Houghton County. Gogebic County has 13, Keweenaw County has six, Baraga County has four, and Ontonagon County has just one.
Two more of our neighbors have died – one each in Houghton and Baraga Counties.
116 additional recoveries have been confirmed.
