Houghton County Board to Hold Budget Hearing This Evening

The Houghton County Commission will hold a public hearing on the 2019-2020 budget at the start of its regular meeting tonight.

Preliminary figures estimate general fund revenue at $10,138,406, with expenditures of $10,068,840.

The budget could be adopted during the regular meeting, and must be in place by the end of the month.

The Commission will also hold a public hearing about the Houghton County Emergency Repair Program.

Tonight’s meeting starts at 5:00 at the courthouse.
