Houghton City Preparing Master Plan Survey

Houghton residents will soon be able to share their opinions, as the city updates its master plan.

At yesterday’s Planning Commission meeting, City Manager Eric Waara reported that questions for a public survey are nearly complete. When the survey is finalized, it will be posted on the city’s website.

The master plan outlines the vision for the city’s future, and guides zoning, development and other major decisions. Both the Planning Commission and the City Council will be involved in the update over the next six months or more.
