Hancock will kick of the holiday season Friday evening with the annual Christmas walk.
Activities begin at 5:00. At 6:00, Santa will board a fire truck at the Scott Building, and ride it to City Hall. He’ll light the Christmas tree, and then share gifts and candy with children. Kids can also decorate cookies, and make cards to send to members of the armed forces.
The Noteworthy Chorus will sing traditional carols at the First United Methodist Church. Shoppers can warm up with hot chocolate at fire barrels throughout town.
This year’s walk is built around a “Polar Express” theme.
All activities are free.
