Hit & Run Being Called A Domestic Disturbance

A hit and run accident between a vehicle and a pedestrian is being considered a domestic disturbance, according to the Houghton Police Department.

Officers were called to the accident on College Avenue near Michigan Technological University just before noon on Tuesday.

A pedestrian was reportedly struck by a vehicle, and was treated for his injuries and released.

The driver of the vehicle was a woman, and she reportedly had two children in the vehicle.

Authorities said the driver of the vehicle and the pedestrian knew each other, and are considering the incident to be a domestic disturbance.

No arrests have been made and the incident remains under investigation.
