Hancock’s Downtown Development Authority met last night.
The MSHDA Grant for the 500 block of Hancock Avenue is moving forward, the authority also applied for a “Match on Main” grant through the Michigan Economic Development Corporation.
The Tezcuco Street Wall is still being reviewed to see if the city or General Glass owns it.
Parking on Ravine Street will be switching over to parallel parking over the next couple of weeks, resulting in two lost parking spots.
The Farmer’s Market comes to Porvoo Park on June 18th from 3p-6p.
The Tory will also continue on Wednesday and Saturday, although it will be run by different people.
Summer construction projects are mostly in residential areas, and won’t impact downtown. The Beautification Committee will start planting flowers on June 7th.

Marijuana ordinances were also briefly discussed.
While the DDA doesn’t vote on them, the consensus was downtown Hancock isn’t the place for a recreational marijuana shop.
