The Hancock School District has an update for Tuesday’s start of the school year.

In an email sent to parents, Principal Chris Salani welcomed new guidance counselor Michelle Serafin.

The normal bus schedule will be in place.

Students are asked to arrive at school no earlier than 7:45am.

Once in the building, students will be required to wear facial coverings.

Seniors will have last year’s locker area, east side on the first floor.

Juniors will be on the west side of the first floor.

Sophomores will be on the north end of the second floor and freshman will be on the south end of the second floor.

Each teacher for 1st period classes will decide if their classrooms can be occupied prior to the first bell.

Seating charts will be followed for the foreseeable future, and there will be hygiene protocols when entering and leaving class.

Freshman will start lunch at 12:03, and remaining grades will be released in three minute intervals afterwards to avoid congestion and weather permitting, some classes will be held outdoors.

Freshman will be receiving a webinar regarding high school curriculum and graduation requirements.
