Hancock School Public Library Co Hosts Short Story Contest

The Hancock School Public Library is teaming up with the Kent District Library and Schuler Books, to host the 9th annual Write Michigan Short Story Contest.

Last year, the contest drew over 1,000 entries.

Writers of all ages are invited to submit a story.

There are multiple categories including youth, teens and adults.

There’s even Spanish language categories.

Winning entries will be published and receive cash prizes.

Jim Davis, Kent District Library Community Liaison said “Write Michigan provides educators at all levels an opportunity to get students excited about writing.”

Entries will be taken until noon, on November 30th.
