COVID-19 Finds its way into the Hancock School District.

A member of the Hancock education team has been diagnosed with COVID-19.
Privacy laws prohibit the individual to be named, but contact tracing and investigation, along with extra deep cleaning of the affected area are underway.
There are several building projects underway, and some about to begin, they include updates to the fire alarm system at Barkell Elementary, refinishing the gym floors at the high school and Barkell Elementary and adding energy efficient lighting to all school buildings.
The updates are expected to save the district $22,000 yearly.
