Hancock Man Injured In Snowmobile Crash

A snowmobiler was injured in a crash late Friday afternoon in Hancock Township.

The Houghton County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened around 5:30pm on M203 near McLain’s State Park.

An 18-year-old Hancock man was driving his snowmobile along the shoulder of the highway when he had a collision with the ditch and was thrown from the snowmobile.

He was taken by a family member to U.P. Health System—Portage where he was treated for his injuries and released.

Alcohol is not believed to have been a factor in the crash.
