Mary Babcock is no longer Hancock’s acting city manager.
She’s the new city manager.
This from Hancock’s special council and budget work session agenda meeting last night.
Babcock will serve a 5 year term, at will.
The council also approved their COVID-19 Response Plan.
Resolution 20-08 which is the intent to apply for operating assistance for Hancock Transit was approved as was resolution 20-09, which gives the city manager the authority to approve the sale and consumption of alcohol outdoors.
Hancock also has a new lease holder for one of their boat houses.
The new lease holder has agreed to pay $750 per year, and must put a new roof on the boat house.
Their next meeting, scheduled for the 17th, will be a hybrid, meaning people have the option of attending in person, or electronically.
The venue will be determined, as they’re not sure everyone would fit at city hall, having to adhere to social distancing policies.
