Hancock Council to Consider Parking Fines Tonight

The Hancock City Council could adopt an updated series of parking fines at tonight’s meeting.

Most of the fines would come in at $20 or less. Exceptions would include blocking a fire hydrant or fire escape, or parking in a handicap zone.

Council members will consider buying a new pickup truck for the Department of Public Works. The Chevrolet Silverado would cost around $46,000, and would be purchased from Keweenaw Chevrolet.

The council could also approve a paving contract for Water Street.

The session will begin at 6:00 at City Hall. To see the agenda, and get the online access code, click here.
