Hancock Council Members Bid “Adieu”

Last night’s special meeting was the last for two Hancock City Council members.

Dan Seguin did not run for re-election in the third ward, as he and his family plan to move outside the city limits in the near future…

“It’s been a real learning experience and a real honor to be on the council the past four years, and I thank you all for your service.”

Rick Freeman will replace him on the council. John Slivon lost his reelection bid to Kurt Rickard in the second ward…

“I actually ran to give the people a choice. I didn’t expect to win at all, and I am quite comfortable with the result.”

The new council will be seated at the organizational meeting Wednesday at 6:00.
