Hancock Council Member Resigns

 A Hancock City Council Member has resigned, and the city hopes to fill her seat at a special meeting set for march 4th at 6pm.

Stephanie Tubman, has turned in her resignation, citing personal reasons, and not being able to fulfill her duties.

Her term runs through November, and those interested in filling it, can send a letter of intent to Hancock Mayor, Paul Labine, by March 3rd.

Any resident of Hancock, of voting age, is eligible to apply.

The Council also discussed the amended contract between Houghton and Hancock in regards to the Portage Lake Water & Sewer Authority and other issues.
