It was a record year for the city of Hancock’s campground. City Manager Glenn Anderson called it a fantastic year will revenues topping $133,000, roughly $25,000 more than 2017.
Part of the increase was attributed to the closure of M-203 due to flood damage which limited access to McLain State Park and to the construction at the park’s campground. The city also began accepting credit cards this year which also helped draw visitors.
The campground is open from May 15th to October 15th.
