Hancock Business Damaged by Fire

A Hancock business was damaged by fire early Saturday morning.

Firefighters were called to World of Wood on Hancock Street.

Company office manager Kelly Heikkila told Keweenaw Report that they were able to confine the blaze to an annex to the main building.

No one was hurt. No damage estimate is yet available.

Heikkila says World of Wood will operate on a limited basis for the next week or two, while the mess is cleaned up.
