Halloween Scare Season Begins With Many Local Events

Things are starting to get scary around the Copper Country.

The 2016 Howl-O-Scream Haunted House is said to be bigger and better than ever.

The haunted house will be open at Meadowbrook Arena this Friday and Saturday from 7:00 until 11:00 pm, as well as next Saturday.

They will have a tame version next Friday from 4:00-7:00pm in conjunction with Boo on the Bay, then they’ll have the regular haunted house from 7:30 to 11:00.

The Halloween BOO-gie dance takes place at the American Legion in L’Anse Saturday night and is a family fundraiser for the Baraga County Shelter Home.

Costumes are not necessary, but are encouraged.

Prizes will be given out to both children and adults.

Kids will enjoy games such as pumpkin bean bag, and candy corn bowling, with prizes from local businesses, and there will be fun activities for adults as well.

The Halloween scare season is just beginning. Check out our Community Calendar page for a list of other local haunts.
