Hackers Never Take A Break

Hackers never take a break, as the world develops new ways to communicate online, hackers and scammers have taken to what’s known as “Zoom-bombing.”

The FBI is reporting that there is a rise in cases of “Zoom-Bombing’ or video hacking.

Michigan has seen multiple cases in the past week.

Hackers are disrupting video conferences and online classrooms with pornographic and hate images as well as threatening language.

Michigan’s law enforcement officials have joined together, to stop “Zoom-bombing” before more meetings are disrupted.

Those caught disrupting online events, could be charged with federal and state crimes.

All charges carry both fines and imprisonment.

Contact the FBI, if your online event has been hacked and practice these safeguards, to lessen the chance of getting attacked- Do not make meetings or classroom instruction public, do not share a link to an online event on social media, send invitations to those people you want to participate privately.
