Governor Whitmer held a press conference yesterday afternoon, to update the state on where we stand in the battle against COVID-19.
While the news wasn’t great, it wasn’t all bad.
The Governor also took a moment to clear up some rumors that have been circulating.
The Governor also said more personal protective equipment is becoming available, and that she’s joined 12 other Governor’s in asking President Trump for a special enrollment period, on the federal healthcare exchange.
Chief Health Officer Joneigh Khaldun had this to say, regarding increased testing abilities in the state.
Khaldun also stated Michigan is in need of additional healthcare workers.
To date, Michigan has 25,635 confirmed cases, with 1,602 deaths.
On the plus side, 433 Michiganders have recovered.
