Governor Whitmer held a press conference earlier today regarding where the state stands in it’s ongoing battle against the COVID-19 pandemic.
So far, Michigan is losing the fight.
Michigan ranks 5th in the US, with just under 2,300 cases with 43 deaths.
Governor Whitmer also sent a letter to President Trump , asking for a major disaster declaration should the president agree, Governor Whitmer said
To date, Michigan’s Upper Peninsula has two confirmed cases of COVID-19.
One case in Chippewa County, and another in Marquette County.
