Governor Whitmer has signed an executive order, allowing the return of professional sports in Michigan, without fans.
The order comes after Major League Baseball announced a shortened, 60 game season, will start on July 24th.
The Detroit Tigers are scheduled to report to Comerica Park for spring training by July 1st.
Whitmer stated it’s an encouraging step toward reopening Michigan’s economy, but that athletes must still observe social distancing practices, whenever possible.
