Governor Whitmer Says More Changes to Upper Peninsula Coming this Week

Big news from Lansing yesterday.

In addition to lifting the “Stay Home Stay Safe” Executive Order and condemning President Trump over comments made during a conference call, Governor Whitmer also said this.

Regions 6 & 8 are the Upper Peninsula and parts of the northern Lower Peninsula.

Phase 5 centers around loosening restrictions on travel, restaurants and bars along with schools.

Whitmer reminded everyone local government has a say in things.

While the rest of the state moves into Phase 4, it’s not all good just yet, barbershops, and salons will remain closed.

Gym’s, which have been closed until the order was lifted, get a little bit of a break.

Drive-In theaters can now reopen, as can housekeeping services.

Chief Health Officer Joneigh Khaldun had this to say.

To date, Michigan has 57,532 confirmed cases, with 5,516 deaths, and 38,099 recoveries.
