Governor Whitmer held a press conference earlier this afternoon, to once again update the state, on where we stand in the battle against the COVID-19 pandemic.
She thanked law enforcement for keeping order during the protests yesterday.
Some restrictions to the “Stay Home Stay Safe” Executive Order, have also been eased.
The construction industry must now appoint a site supervisor, charged with enforcing measures aimed at keeping workers safe.
She also remained defiant, in the face of legal action.
Pat Dublin, Secretary and Treasurer of Michigan’s Building Trades Council had this to say.
To Date, Michigan has 42,356 confirmed cases of COVID-19, with 3,866 deaths.
Michigan’s Western Upper Peninsula has seven confirmed cases, the latest coming from Baraga County yesterday, with one death.
