Governor Whitmer Held a press conference yesterday afternoon, to update the state on the COVID-19 battle.
She said in the coming weeks, she will start re-engaging sectors of the economy.
She is working with labor and healthcare leaders, to determine which types of businesses pose the least risk to the public, when they start back up.
Whitmer explained how her plan would work.
Residential and industrial construction should also be starting up again soon.
Chief Health Officer Joneigh Khaldun spoke of the people who have recovered.
To date, Michigan has 38,210 confirmed cases, with 3,407 deaths.
The Western Upper Peninsula has 6 confirmed cases, with one death.
