Governor Whitmer held a press conference to give Michiganders an update in the battle against COVID-19.
She began by acknowledging 5 year Skyler Herbert, of the Detroit area, the first child to lose her fight against COVID-19.
She also reminded those who may disagree with her handling of the situation, it isn’t permanent, and that America didn’t protest during WWII, with food rationing and having to build tanks and airplanes.

Chief Health Officer Joneigh Khaldun gave an update on Michigan’s recovery rate.
To date, Michigan has 32,000 confirmed cases, with 2468 deaths. Houghton County has 2 confirmed cases.
