Cautious optimism, that’s what Governor Whitmer said about the latest round of Michigan’s COVID-19 stats, during her press conference yesterday afternoon.
She answered a few questions her office has received, including “What is the problem with easing restrictions in regions of the state, with low COVID cases?”
The money the state has sent to unemployed workers was also brought up.
Upper Peninsula prisons are doing quite well.
The state has also increased testing capacity.
Chief Health Officer Joneigh Khaldun, gave an update on confirmed cases in the state, along with deaths brought on by the virus.
The Western Upper Peninsula has seven confirmed cases, with one death.
