Governor Whitmer Extends Pesticide Applicator Licenses

Governor Whitmer has signed an executive order temporarily suspending requirements for in person exams for renewing pesticide certifications, until the emergency declaration in Michigan is lifted.

Three year pesticide applicator licenses which expired on December 31st last year, which were due for renewal now, are now good until 60 days after the emergency declaration is lifted.

The order is in effect as of today.

Governor Whitmer said “By temporarily extending the validity of pesticide certifications, we can ensure every Michigander has safe food to put on the table as we continue to weather this unprecedented pandemic.”
