Governor Whitmer Extends Executive Order For Electronic Meetings

Governor Whitmer has extended the executive order, allowing meetings and state administrative hearings to take place electronically.

The order is in effect now, and runs through June 30th.

Whitmer said Michigan has taken some big steps this week, but social distancing is still the best tool we have to fight COVID-19.

The order allows the  Michigan Employment Relations Commission and the Unemployment Insurance Agency to continue to hold hearings electronically, when possible.

The order also allows for electronic signatures, in place of written signatures.
