Good Times At Baraga County’s “Best Little Fair”

The Baraga County Fair was held over the weekend in Pelkie and despite its size, Fair Manager Mindy Lantz says there was still a lot going on.

The demolition derby and off-road race capped off the weekend on Sunday.

Courtney Mayo was named the 2016 Baraga County Fair Queen Friday evening, on the opening day of the fair.

Sarah Dix was selected as first runner-up, and Anna Pietila as second runner-up.

In an unusual result, the Miss Congeniality award was shared among all five contestants, with each receiving one vote from one of the other competitors.
