Gogebic Community College Takes Action Against COVID-19

Gogebic Community College has also taken action in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.

After consulting with the Western Upper Peninsula Health Department, State of Michigan and the CDC, all classes for Monday, March 16th and Tuesday, March 17th have been cancelled. College offices will remain open, and classes will resume on Wednesday, March 18th on the Ironwood and Copper Country Campuses.

Classes that do not include hands on work, will be conducted online.

So far, classes which require hands on work, such as welding and cosmetology, will resume as usual.

If your coursework requires labs, such as biology or chemistry, your lectures may change, but lab work will continue as usual.

This arrangement will continue through April 17th, and will be re-evaluated then.

Campus Suites will remain open during this time, and the Courtside Cafe and Lindquist Student Center will remain open for students only.
