Get Your House Ready To Sell With “Design To Sell” Presentation

There’s more to selling your home than simply putting a sign in the front yard.

A presentation Wednesday at the Portage Lake District Library called “Design To Sell” will look at the different ways a homeowner can make their house more attractive to potential buyers.

Certified Professional Home Stager, Designer, and Realtor Julie Waara says there’s a difference between living in your home and selling it.  “There’s so many little things that people can be doing to make sure their home shows better. Obviously, location and price are always the biggest indicators as to whether a home is going to sell or not but from my background in real estate and design, there’s a lot of little things that can make a huge difference in making your house a better product,” said Waara.

Waara will be discussing the different things a homeowner can do before putting their home up for sale and how selling has changed in recent years.

The free event begins at 6:00pm and should be of interest to anyone thinking about selling their home in the near future.  Waara said, “Anybody that’s interested in selling their house this year or even next year, just so they can get an idea as far as little things that they can do to improve their sale.”

Here is the press release of the event issued by the Portage Lake District Library:
