Gasoline prices in Michigan tumbled by 14 cents per gallon over the past week.
The statewide average is at $2.49 for a gallon of unleaded.
Prices are higher in most of the Upper Peninsula. AAA Michigan pegged the average price in the Marquette market at $2.54 yesterday… seven cents less than a week ago, a dime less than a month ago, and 35 cents less than a year ago.
No surprise – Keweenaw County is the highest in the state, at $2.90 per gallon. Baraga County is the lowest in the U.P., at $2.39. Houghton County is at $2.55 per gallon.
