Gasoline prices in the Upper Peninsula have dropped a bit over the past week.
AAA Michigan’s ongoing survey pegged yesterday’s average price in the Marquette metro area at $2.65 per gallon… three cents less than a week ago… two cents less than a month ago… and 40 cents per gallon less than a year ago.
Keweenaw County is the highest in the state, at $2.99 per gallon. Baraga County is among the lowest, at $2.57. Houghton County’s average is $2.72 per gallon – a dime higher than the statewide average.
