Gas Prices Edge Higher

Heading into the weekend, gasoline prices are slightly higher in our region than they were a week ago. AAA Michigan’s survey shows Marquette at $2.29 per gallon of unleaded regular. That’s three cents above last week, and five cents higher than a week ago. It’s 28 cents lower than a year ago.

Gas prices in the Copper Country are mostly below Marquette. Houghton County’s average is $2.13 per gallon. Ontonagon County is at $2.17. Baraga County is the lowest in the state, averaging $1.96 per gallon.
