Gasoline prices are easing a bit, after an increase through the first month of the year.
AAA Michigan’s continuing survey places the statewide average cost of a gallon of unleaded regular at $3.37 this morning. That’s 8 cents less than a week ago, but still 4 cents more than a month ago. It’s almost identical to what we were paying last year at this time.
Prices on the Keweenaw Peninsula continue to hover well above the state average. Houghton County is at $3.50, and Keweenaw County at $3.60. Ontonagon County is also above the state average, at $3.47. Baraga County is well below the state average, at $3.20.
