Gardenview Residents Send Christmas Cheer To Sick Child

The holidays are meant to be a time of joy, but if your child is sick, the season offers little reason to be cheerful.

Three years ago, 9-year-old Jacob Thompson was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma, a rare type of cancer.

He is currently at Bush Children’s Hospital in Portland, Maine where he may not live to see Christmas this year.

His family is asking that people send him homemade Christmas cards early so he will receive them in time.

The folks at Gardenview Assisted Living and Memory Care banded together this week and made their very own Christmas cards for Jacob and sent them along with all of their love and prayers this holiday season.

You can learn more about Jacob Thompson’s Journey on the family’s Facebook page.
