Gardenview Hires Additional Community Nurse

Gardenview Assisted Living and Memory Care says Calumet resident Atalie Hyrkas has recently joined the Gardenview team as an LPN.

Gardenview’s hire of an additional nurse will expand its service’s available to the community.

Prior to joining Gardenview, Hyrkas held various positions in healthcare working with private home care and local clinics.

While Hyrkas is new to the senior living industry she is eager to learn about the demands of assisted living and memory care as well as to expand her nursing knowledge and clinical care. Hyrkas points out that the community’s warm atmosphere and enthusiastic work culture will make her role truly fulfilling.

“With our recent growth, we knew we needed to bring another nurse on board to assist with overseeing our care staff. Atalie has worked with local nurses and physicians as well as pharmacies and clinics so she is very knowledgeable when it comes to the day to day processes of healthcare in the Keweenaw” said Maggie Seppala, Executive Director at Gardenview.

“We knew Atalie would be the perfect fit for this position and we look forward to her cares and services as she continues to build upon our solid reputation for senior living.”

Hyrkas will work with her team members to focus on providing quality care, and a safe community for our seniors. Hyrkas’ duties will include working with residents, families, and doctors to coordinate appointment and doctor visits, monitoring medication regimens, and providing excellence in nursing at Gardenview.
