Fugitive Captured in Baraga County

An escaped fugitive was arrested in Baraga County Friday.

Jeremy Ross Marjamaa cut his tether and ran from custody in Chippewa County July 8th.

On Friday, police received a tip that Marjamaa was traveling along US-41 from Marquette toward Calumet. He was pulled over in Baraga County, and ran into the woods.

Officers from several departments and a tracking dog located him eight hours later. Marjamaa was arrested without incident, and is being held in the Baraga County jail.
