Friends of the Portage Lake District Library Hold Book Sale

The Friends of the Portage Lake District Library invite all book lovers to their Used Book Sale beginning on Friday evening, October 5, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and continuing on Saturday, October 6, from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

On Friday early shoppers are encouraged to make a $5 suggested donation to the Friends of the Library and enjoy music and refreshments while they shop the “Sneak-a-Peek” sale for the best selection. On Saturday everything goes on sale for half price from noon until 1:00 p.m.

The sale will take place in the community room at the library. An excellent selection of new and gently used books, audio books, and DVDs for adults and children plus some miscellaneous items will be sold to raise money for library projects and items that the Friends provide.

Items that the Friends of the Library have purchased include books, furniture, computers, a work bench for staff, the Children’s Listening Center, and other materials. Proceeds from book sales also pay for annual events sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Information on how to become involved with the Friends will be available at the book sale.

For more information, please call the library at 482-4570.
