Summer is the time to fire up the grill and have a cookout. Gardenview Assisted Living and Memory Care in Calumet is hosting their annual Summer Barbecue on Saturday, July 20, from noon to 4pm.
Sales and Marketing Director Adam Gill says there will be music, games, and of course, food. “It’s a completely free event,” said Gill. “We have all your American-style barbecue foods from burgers and hot dogs and some potato salads, drinks, things like that.”
For the adults, there is bean toss and horseshoes and the kids can enjoy the bounce house.
It’s also an opportunity to find out what Gardenview is all about. “Maybe if someone is looking into assisting living for themselves or maybe a loved one, this is a chance that maybe they can come out and check out our community in a casual, laid back kind of setting and just see what our community looks like and maybe meet some of the residents and the staff and hopefully have a good feeling about the positive environment that we have there,” Gill said.
This free event is open to everyone in the community and will take place rain or shine, including moving the bounce house inside if necessary.
