Forbes Ranks Michigan Tech 12th in Nation for Graduates’ Mid-Career Earnings

Forbes.com, a financial news website, ranks Michigan Technological University 12th in the nation for public universities whose graduates earn the highest mid-career salaries.

Michigan Tech grads’ mid-career earnings average $102,000, according to Forbes.

“This is an honor, but no surprise,” said Michigan Tech President Glenn Mroz.  “With our focus on STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), our hands-on education, students’ enthusiastic participation in programs like Enterprise, Senior Design and the Advanced Portfolio Management Program, and an average starting salary of $63,400, it is no wonder our graduates’ mid-career earnings top $100,000.”

Michigan Tech ranked highest among Michigan’s public universities. It also ranked higher than several of its peer institutions around the country. Military, maritime and merchant marine academies took the top five rankings.
