MARQUETTE – Sawyer International Airport, County of Marquette, and the LSCP, along with SkyWest Airlines, announce the return of regular morning flights to Detroit from Sawyer International Airport (SAW), effective March 2018.
SAW will continue its current flight to Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) on SkyWest Airlines (operating as Delta Air Lines) and will offer two daily flights to Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW), with the earliest flight departing at approximately 10:26a.m.
SAW will also continue non-stop flights to Chicago O’Hare Airport (ORD) through American Airlines (operating as Envoy Air).
“We have worked hard to build a strong relationship with all our carriers and maintain regular communications,” said Duane DuRay, Airport Manager with Sawyer International Airport. “When the morning flight to Detroit was eliminated late in 2017, the airport and our many stakeholders worked with SkyWest to share our concerns and asked for the schedule to be reviewed in the new year. We are pleased to announce the return of this critical morning flight.”
