First View of Houghton Lakeshore Redevelopment Could Come Tonight

Houghton residents could get a first look at proposed plans for the Lakeshore Drive redevelopment project tonight.

The city council will hold a joint virtual meeting with the Downtown Development Authority and the planning commission.

The real reason for the meeting is to fulfill a requirement for grant-ready status. But, the city’s development partner, the Veridea Group from Marquette, has been invited to present the plan it has composed after a year of research, discussion and fact-finding.

The public is able to attend the meeting, which starts at 5:30. Log-in details are posted at the city’s website.
