Finlandia Holding Commencement Ceremony Sunday

Finlandia University baccalaureate and commencement activities for the class of 2018 are scheduled for Sunday, April 29, on the university’s campus in Hancock.

Exercises for Graduation Day 2018 will begin Sunday morning at 10 a.m. with the Baccalaureate Worship Service at the Chapel of St. Matthew, and conclude with the Commencement Exercises at 1:30 p.m. at Paavo Nurmi Center.

Finlandia University, founded in 1896 as Suomi College, recognized its first group of graduates in 1904 with 12 students earning diplomas. Finlandia University’s commencement speaker this year is Marilyn Clark, the alumni speaker is Kathleen Harmon and the student representative is Melissa Helppi.
