Finlandia donors can triple their gifts this Giving Tuesday, as the university will have two matching incentives:
A member of the Board of Trustees has agreed to match all donations dollar for dollar that are made on Giving Tuesday, up to $20,000.
Finlandia is also participating in Facebook’s Giving Tuesday program, in which they will match the first $7 million donated that day.
All donations received this Giving Tuesday will go toward FinnU’s annual scholarship programs to help keep Finlandia University affordable for future students. Currently, 100 percent of Finlandia full-time domestic students receive financial aid.
As a special feature, Finlandia will be hosting a live video segment on Facebook at 8 a.m. on Giving Tuesday. The segment will include special guests as well as challenges for the guests when certain monetary milestones are met.
How to donate via Facebook:
Log into your Facebook account on November 27 beginning at 8 a.m.
Go to the Finlandia University Facebook page.
Find the Giving Tuesday Fundraiser post and click ‘Donate’.
Insert your credit card information or use the Pay Pal option to donate your desired amount.
