Thanks to the generous support of David and Elsa Brule, Finlandia University is proud to announce a three-year commitment totaling $120,000 in art and design scholarships.
“The Brules have been huge supporters of the arts, and friends of the university for years,” said Denise Vandeville, dean of Finlandia’s International School of Art and Design. “We’re very grateful for their support and the art scholarships available because of them.”
There will be two $20,000 scholarships each year. One will be awarded in April to a student in the Iron Mountain area through the Association for Student Artists. The other will be awarded to a student during a competitive portfolio review on Finlandia’s campus on Saturday, May 6, 2017.
An application and additional information regarding the scholarship will be made available at finlandia.edu/art in early 2017. The scholarship was announced Friday during the December 16 edition of Finlandia Fridays, which featured Vandeville.
