FiberRama Fundraiser and Fiber Arts Presentation by Phyllis Fredendall

Hancock- Searching for materials for your next art or craft project? We probably have just what you need! FiberRama is a sale of yarn, weaving threads, fabric, notions, magazines, tools, assorted art supplies, frames, and books.  FiberRama takes place on Saturday, March 17th from 9am-1pm at the Copper Country Community Arts Center.

On Friday, March 16th at 6pm, Finlandia University Professor Phyllis Fredendall, International School of Art & Design, will give a fiber design slide presentation, “Fiber in Finland: an Update and a Look Back.” Enjoy images of Marimekko’s annual Spring fashion show in Helsinki and a look at the fiber department at the University of Lapland in Rovaniemi. Admission for the presentation: $5 donation, which also gets you FiberRama preview shopping.

Proceeds from these events benefit the Copper Country Community Arts Center. “Fiber in Finland” presentation is on Friday, March 16th at 6pm and FiberRama is on Saturday, March 17th from 9am -1pm at the Copper Country Community Arts Center located at 126 Quincy Street in Hancock.
